Deets: Kenya’s Maasai Mara National Reserve, an extension of the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, is home to the big five game animals: lion, elephant, cape buffalo, leopard and white/black rhinos. Each of the “Big Five” made an appearance while on safari with Pollman’s Tours and Safaris (via Lion World Travel). Quick fact: the Maasai Mara is named for the Maasai tribe and the Mara River, which divides it. The reserve is famous for its large population of game and the annual migration of the wildebeest.
